Fire-Lite panel honored by higher education community
NORTHFORD, Conn.—A Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell control panel has been selected as a University Business 2012 Readers’ Choice Top Product for its positive impact on college campuses, according to a company statement.
Winners were selected by the readership of the magazine, and were based on both the quantity of nominations and the quality of reader descriptions. The MS-9600UDLS, the control panel that earned the honor, is designed to provide fire protection that is simple to install, update and service, the company said. The simple-to-operate panel makes for a user-friendly system ideal for school administrators and security managers, according to the company.
“The Fire-Lite MS9600UDLS fire alarm control panel has provided our campus with the most up-to-date fire alarm control panel and provided our staff and our students with peace of mind knowing that their life safety is being monitored 24/7,” said Kim Harris, electronic systems technician at North Georgia College & State University, in nominating the panel for the award.
2012 marks the inception of the University Business Readers’ Choice Top Products awards, which going forward will become an annual honor given to companies whose products contribute to the success of higher education institutions.
