GOSHSEN, Ind.—Shoff Security Services, a commercial security company based in Elkhart, Ind., will install a CCTV surveillance system in Goshen’s Central Garage, where employees work on the city’s vehicles, including emergency vehicles, snow removal equipment, loaders, backhoes and sewer trucks.

“There are thousands of dollars of tools in this building,” said city engineer Mary Cripe in a Goshen News report. She noted that emergency vehicles maintained in the garage also carry expensive equipment.

The Goshen Board of Works and Safety recently approved a contract for hardware and installation of the system, Goshen News reports. According to the story, Cripe said the system will record video and can be monitored remotely from various locations.
