RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J.—Samsung Techwin America recently launched two do-it-yourself security kits, according to a company statement. The SDE-4003 and the SDE-5003 feature high-resolution cameras with low-light or nighttime viewing and a DVR for 24/7 recording and remote access. The kits can be deployed in both indoor and outdoor settings.

“This is a robust video surveillance system that inches the bar even higher for the competition, while at the same time lowers the barrier of entry for consumers who are looking for surveillance capabilities of this caliber,” Mike Palazzolo, VP sales and marketing, consumer video monitoring and security products, Samsung Techwin America, said in a company statement.

The security kits can be remotely accessed via a web browser, desktop computer software, or free mobile apps available for Android or iOS. Consumers can also receive automatic e-mail alerts on events such as motion or camera signal loss.
