A4S to acquire two companies

LOVELAND, Colo.--A4S Security announced in late July plans to acquire two companies: Vizer, based nearby Westminster, Colo., and Avurt International, owned by the same group of individuals. A4S, a maker of digital video surveillance products is branching out with the moves. Vizer is a manufacturer of web-based access control products and Avurt makes personal protection devices that fire pepper-spray filled projectiles. Perhaps only Mace holds a similar portfolio of products. The companies are privately held and the owners will be paid in A4S stock totaling $3 million, plus as much as $2 million in cash, depending on future earn out.
