Adesta is Cisco PhySec technology provider

DALLAS--Rob Hile, vice president of business development for Adesta, a national systems integrator based in Omaha, Neb., used his speaking opportunity here at TechSec Solutions to announce Adesta's selection by Cisco as a Physical Security Authorized Technology Provider. This ATP designation allows Adesta to provide video surveillance solutions using a diverse set of Cisco solutions, including routers, switches and a range of Cisco Video Surveillance Internet Protocol Gateways, Service Platforms and Stream Manager software. Speaking as part of the "Accelerating Security Convergence Across the Enterprise" panel, Hile outlined Adesta's efforts to streamline opportunities for merging traditional physical security and IT networking integration, including a commitment to the type of training that led Adesta to get Cisco's Premier certification and now ATP designation. ATP partners "must possess significant installation and integration experience with cameras, video matrix switches, badging systems, access control hardware, and various intrusion and interactive communications systems." Further, in order to maintain its ATP status, "Adesta had to possess or obtain the Express Foundation Specialization" and will be required to maintain a lab for end-user demonstrations with current, upgraded and maintained Cisco physical security solutions.
