This is an excellent session outlining both the old and new security threats that commercial office buildings are now facing. Additionally, this session will show how to leverage security technology to mitigate these threats. One especially good topic of discussion is emergency planning. With security in our buildings quickly becoming a community issue it will be interesting to see how this topic includes the involvement of outside emergency personnel.

Homeland security is a topic that few truly understand. I look forward to better understanding how local government agencies can leverage national homeland security to better secure the places we live, work and play. From a practical point of view, I would like to understand how to position my company’s strong integration capabilities to take advantage of upcoming homeland security projects.

Let’s face it: The Internet and IP video is the future of CCTV monitoring, surveillance, transmission, and storage. As a security professional, I need to do all I can to keep up on the latest trends regarding CCTV over IP networks. More and more of the customers I deal with have an IT background, so it is up to me to ensure I understand their challenges and concerns as it relates to the networks they support.
