Bollards protect historic docs

WASHINGTON - The National Archives Building, which houses the country’s historic documents, has deployed Delta Scientific’s bollards to increase its perimeter security. The addition is part of a major renovation and restoration project ongoing at the National Archives Building. The bollards protect the facility from errant vehicles weighing up to 15,000 pounds and travelling up to 30 mph. The new security measures follow the reopening of the National Archives’ Rotunda in September 2003, an exhibit which includes the re-encased Declaration of Independence.
