Datakey and Indala team up for single solution MINNEAPOLIS - Datakey and Indala Corp. have formed an alliance to combine user access technologies onto one smart card. As a result of the alliance, Datakey will offer its Datakey Axis two-factor authentication solution with Indala’s FlexSmart cards and readers, giving enterprise network and proximity security in a single smart card. Datakey Axis consolidates all credentials onto one smart card or token and automates user access to corporate applications and buildings. Indala offers smart and multi-technology access cards and readers. When integrated, organizations can provide employees with one comprehensive user access credential that increases access security, makes user authentication easy and lowers overall support costs. Newton gains new facility RENTON, Wash. - Newton Security, which supplies single person detection systems used in turnstiles from Gunnebo Entrance Control and Designed Security Inc., has expanded its production and development facilities. The new facility features a demonstration center that will display the company’s patent pending Newton T-DAR, or tailgate detection and prevention system. According to John Bramblet, president and chief executive officer of Newton Security, the company’s growth and use of tailgate prevention systems prompted the move. The facility will also feature the company’s new people counting, one-way detection and exit lane control products. Verint, IBM deliver network video system MELVILLE, N.Y. - Verint Systems and IBM have come together to deliver a network video security system to the Kansas City International Airport. As a result of the partnership, Verint will provide analytical software while IBM offers technology that enables video, video management software and networking technology to integrate.
