ADT scoops up $4.75 million port deal OAKLAND, Calif. - ADT Security Services has won a $4.75 million maritime security contract with the Port of Oakland, the nation’s fourth- busiest container port. Under the contract, ADT will install access control, video surveillance and a perimeter intrusion detection system. The system will also include an integrated communications infrastructure that will use wireless technology. The project is one of several security enhancements at the port. The security system design is complete for two of the marine terminals, with installation on those terminals slated to begin in May. Securitas AB acquires Armored Motor Services HELSINGBORG, Sweden - Securi-tas AB, a security services company, based here, acquired Armored Motor Services of America in mid-June for $32 million. AMSA of Victor, N.Y., is a cash-handling services company operating in eight Northeast states. AMSA has annual sales of $55 million. Securitas’ other U.S. operations include Pinkerton’s and Burns International Services Corp. Football’s Montana to host golf tournament IRVINE, Calif. - Joe Montana, a Hall of Fame NFL quarterback, will be the host of this year’s Greater Alarm Charity Golf Classic on Sept. 26. The tournament, in its sixth year, is a major fundraising event for Greater Alarm’s not-for-profit organization, Greater Foundation. Past tournaments have raised more than $182,000 to support a variety of Southern California children’s charities. This year, the foundation plans to share proceeds with Child Share, a church-based foster care network for abused and neglected children. Sponsorships are available for the tournament.
