ISS tapped to offer Dukane communication products

MIAMI - Integrated Security Systems has been awarded the right to distribute Dukane Communication Systems for the healthcare market in South Florida.

The product line addition is expected to help Integrated Security reach its goal of becoming a preferred systems integrator in the healthcare industry, according to Michael Smith, director of sales and marketing for ISS.

Up until now the company offered various security systems to the healthcare sector, but did not have a suite of products that included Dukane’s product line.
Integrator earns platinum distinction from GE Security
EXTON, Pa. - The Protection Bureau announced it has earned platinum certification from GE Security and its systems integrator program.

The program recognizes systems integrators for their installation knowledge and service. GE Security launched the program earlier this year.

To achieve the certification, The Protection Bureau had to receive product training certifications in applications such as access control, video surveillance, electronic security and fiber-optic transmission applications.
Miami Airport awards Honeywell building integration contract

MIAMI - Honeywell’s Building Solutions division has been awarded a $26.6-million contract by the Miami International Airport.

The contract is a five-year agreement for the Minneapolis, Minn.-based company. As part of the deal, Honeywell will upgrade the airport’s building control system and connect it to its life safety system.

This integration enables the building’s life safety system to work in conjunction with other building subsystems and technologies, such as employee access, security, HVAC and smoke control systems. The upgrade will also enable the airport to integrate new technologies and future enhancements as its needs evolve.
