CSAA aligns with Argentinean, Israeli groups

VIENNA, Va.-The trade group for dealers with central stations has formed a reciprocal membership deal with the Camara De Empresas De Monitorei De Alarmas De La Republica Argentina (CEMARA), a trade organization of monitoring companies in Argentina. The reciprocal Honorary Affiliate membership arrangement will include the Argentinean group's 80 member companies. CSAA leadership said Argentinean officials told them in discussions that companies in that country were facing many of the same issues as their North American counterparts. CSAA also signed a similar reciprocal relationship with the Israeli Security Industry Organization, which represents monitoring, installing and manufacturing companies in Israel. The Canadian Alarm and Security Association has also struck up a south of the border connection through the Latin American Security Association. Beginning in January, the Latin American Security Association has offered CANASA's Alarm Technician Level One education course. The classes were slated to begin in Venezuela in February and are open to all alarm installers.
