Dynamark moves HQ

Dynamark moves HQ FAST Distribution collocated with Dynamark headquarters and monitoring center

HAGERSTOWN, Md.—Dynamark moved its headquarters into the same building as its monitoring center—a 28,000 square-foot space.

“We needed more space, both now and to have room to grow in the future, and we wanted to set the office up and consolidate them,” Trey Alter, Dynamark's president and CEO, told Security Systems News. “We purchased the building in 2008, when we constructed the central station.”

Specifically, Dynamark will use the new, larger space for its service, dispatch, customer service and dealer services departments.

Dynamark's staff helped with the move, he said. “We had a task force that thought through every possible scenario and detail of work,” Alter said. “They broke it down into [manageable] pieces and everybody here at Dynamark had a responsibility, and we actually moved two days faster than we anticipated.”

The move started on June 23 and was complete by 4 p.m. June 24.

Having the entire company in one space allows for more business efficiencies and a better work environment for employees, Alter said. “Being all together gives you more chances to have a casual conversation, to get a question answered, to spend time together as a group to both get to know your fellow coworkers and work together on things.”

Alter said Dynamark has been remodeling the new space since the beginning of the year.

Dynamark's sister company, FAST Distribution, which provides security products to independent dealers, also moved into the new space.

“We're situated right in front of a large city park here. So, our employees can go outside, eat lunch at picnic tables, walk through the park—it's just a much better environment to be in and I think they'll enjoy it more,” Alter said.
