Egan unveils new dealer program

LANCASTER, Pa.--Saying he's building on a good idea, Patrick Egan announced Jan. 1 that he's created a new national dealer program that features "no chargeback, no holdback, and a lifetime of income." Accounts will be monitored at Egan's Lancaster, Pa., central station, Security Partners. Last summer, Egan was involved as a marketing partner with a different dealer program that featured a similar model. Egan acknowledged that his program, Security AlarmGroup, resembles the other program--Security FirstAlarmGroup, of Pasedena, Calif.--in a several ways. The two also differ in several ways, however, including new options such as contract length. The program "allows dealers to build equity and preserve their identity and independence," Egan said. SAG currently has 45 approved dealers, located in about 15 states. "We've got a run rate of several hundred accounts per month now," Egan said. He expects to be at "several thousand accounts per month" by this summer. Egan's vice president of sales is Dustin Reilich. He's hired seven regional sales directors and three of those hires came directly from ADT: Mike Barber in San Antonio, Mike Shafer in Oklahoma City, and Craig Sacks in Phoenix. The other regional directors include Keith Shirley in Atlanta, Jim Payor in Nashville, Jeff Mawer in Toledo, and Simon Zylberminc in New York City. Egan is interviewing candidates for a director in Florida.
