Firm moves Eastern Canadian facilities

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario--Burtek, a supplier of access control, alarm, fire and CCTV systems, will relocate its office here to a larger facility this month. The new office at 6510 Kennedy Road, is in the same area as the previous office.
Burtek is the Canadian division of Richardson Electronics' Security Systems Division.
"We needed a larger facility and this was custom-configured to our specifications," said Wendy Diddell, vice president and general manager of Richardson Electronics Security System Division. "The distribution trucks needed to be able to get in and out easily and we also needed to have the facility work as a storefront."
The location also has better highway access, more parking and improved training and showroom facilities.
The Mississauga branch will become the hub for the Eastern Division of Burtek.
Richardson Electronics Security Systems Division has 11 branches in Canada, five branches in the United States, four sales offices in Europe and three in Latin America.
