Fleenor breaks ground for new station Brief

WEST KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--Fleenor Security Systems, a full service alarm company, is building a monitoring central station here to service its growing customer base.
The Knoxville Fire Department now requires privately operated monitoring stations in the city to be certified by Underwriters Laboratories. The certification requires all fire alarm systems installed to be UL-certified. The company is currently working to receive UL approval, due to the city's requirement.
The $500,000 monitoring station, which should be operational by the end of the year, will be built behind its headquarters.
