Greenwood, Saratoga schools beef up security Brief

GREENWOOD, Texas, and SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.--The Midland Reporter-Telegram reported in early January that the Greenwood Independent School District has selected Aprotex, of Midland, Texas, to install a new $14,600 security system, with another $220 per month in monitoring fees. This follows $100,000 worth of damage done by two 14-year-old boys in a vandalism spree last summer. The Saratogian reported in mid December that the Saratoga Springs Board of Education approved a $227,125 security system installation that will include 15 exterior and 25 interior cameras and an access control system. Schaefer Lewis Engineers consulted on the system. The installer was not identified.
