PHOENIX, Ariz.-Access control product manufacturer HES has aligned with its Assa Abloy sister company effeff in a deal that enables HES to distribute the effeff brand of electronic strikes and locking system products.

Previously, the brand of electronic strikes was only available through Rutherford Controls Inc. Company officials say the deal makes the product available on a broader scale.

"This strategic alliance will make both companies stronger in new and existing markets," said Michael Webb, president and chief executive officer of HES.

The effeff brand of electronic strikes will be sold with the co-branded name of HES/effeff E61 Series. New products, such as the effeff Penta locking system, which was not previously sold in the U.S., will also be available.

HES will begin distributing effeff products this month.
