Home Director looks to expand its geographic reach across the country

LIVERMORE, Calif. - Home Director, a home networking provider, has announced an expansion of its relationship with Land Tejas, a developer of gated planned communities in Houston, Texas. The partnership, which initially began in 1998, includes using Home Director’s structured wiring technology infrastructure in four new Land Tejas developments. The new areas include approximately 5,700 homes to be built over the next five years as well as 4,000 new homes that will be added to existing communities by 2007. Home Director President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Liddle said in a prepared statement that the company has made a commitment to making new partnerships with home developers to expand their national footprint. In another move that also expands Home Director’s presence, the company has added two Florida-based integrators to its Sears Connected Home program - a home networking partnership between the home appliance retailer and Home Director with authorized integrators in markets across the country. As part of the program, AllTech Specialists of Tampa, Fla., and Atlantic Smart Technologies of Jupiter, Fla., can represent themselves as authorized Sears representatives.
