Interface acquires CSSI

EARTH CITY, Mo. - Interface Security Systems LLC has completed the acquisition of Control Security Systems Inc. as part of the company’s ongoing expansion in the Mississippi Valley region. CSSI, based in St. Louis, has about 12,000 monitored subscribers in the Missouri/Southern Illinois marketplace. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Interface provides installation and monitoring services to commercial and residential customers in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The company recently moved into a new corporate facility in Earth City where it invested more than $1 million in leasehold improvements, including a new UL-listed central station. According to Chief Executive Officer Michael Shaw, the acquisition gives Interface about 15,000 accounts in the greater St. Louis area alone. Charles May, founder and president of CSSI, will play an active role in the integration of Interface and CSSI, as well as the ongoing operations of the St. Louis branch. Shaw said Interface will continue its regional expansion strategy both through future acquisitions and aggressive internal growth initiatives.
