March Networks hires the former president of Gyyr

OTTAWA - The former president of Gyyr has joined up with March Networks to become its senior vice president of global sales, marketing and product management.
In the newly created position, Peter Strom will be responsible for identifying market trends and tying that in with product management and development. By being more market responsive, Strom expects March Networks will bring product to market faster.
The addition of Strom in a high-level management position comes as March Networks continues on its path of growing in the network digital video market.
His background in the American and global reseller market is expected to play a role in that growth.
“The demand for more technology driven solutions is growing on a daily basis,†said Strom. “Having the IT experience that March Networks has puts us in a unique position.â€Â
March Networks recently increased the number of participants in its reseller program, from 10 integrators to more than 70. It has also expanded its digital video recorder line, all part of company official’s plans to establish a leadership position in selling IP video solutions for security-based applications.
Terry Matthews, chief executive officer of March Networks, noted Strom brings strong industry experience and a record of driving global sales.
