Monitronics rated Company of the Year by Frost & Sullivan

DALLAS—Following closely upon its reception of an Excellence in Best Practices Award from Frost & Sullivan, Monitronics has picked up the Company of the Year Award from the market research company. This is the second year Monitronics has been so honored by Frost & Sullivan.

What are they doing right?

“Monitronics has been able to overcome critical factors such as cost, scalability, coverage, and jamming issues that plague its competitors,” said Frost & Sullivan senior research analyst Neelima Sagar, in a Dec. 15 announcement. “The company's key differentiators are flexibility, reliability, enhanced customer service, and responsiveness.”

The release from Frost & Sullivan lauds Monitronics for its innovation and continued growth. “Despite the impact of the global financial crisis and downturn in the security industry, Monitronics has consistently grown based on its industry-leading qualities … The robust performance of Monitronics' highly qualified, dedicated dealer network of about 700, which receives rigorous training in best practices, provides valuable support to its clients. As a result, the company's revenues grew from $207.7 million in 2008 to $234.4 million in 2009, an outstanding growth rate of 12.5 percent,” the release reads. “Besides its existing range of alarm monitoring products, Monitronics continuously upgrades the existing product portfolio to stay ahead of the competition.

Monitronics VP marketing Mitch Clarke was pleased with the recognition.

“Monitronics is always looking for better ways to service our customers. We plan to build on this achievement by continuing the customer service we are known for, staying on the leading edge of technology, and further developing our Authorized Dealer Network,” Clarke told Security Systems News. “Our team cares about making sure each and every emergency is handled with the utmost care. The core of our business is protecting lives and property. We were particularly recognized for our dedication to bringing innovative technology and products to our customers, such as interactive services. This award reinforces our commitment to quality and innovation to our customers and dealers.”

Monitronics is one of the largest third-party central stations in the U.S., providing alarm system monitoring for 750,000 residential, small business, corporate, and government customers.
