BENICIA, Calif.--Four years after entering the U.S. market with the acquisition of Omega Optical Turnstiles, Gunnebo Omega changed its name to Gunnebo Entrance Control on July 1, to better reflect its corporate identity and product line. GEC specializes in access control systems, which include tripod turnstiles, optical turnstiles, speed gates, entrance gates, security revolving doors and security booths. GEC has a wide range of clients in the United States and abroad. Its U.S. clients include Harvard University, Charles Schwab & Company and the Pentagon. Part of the Gunnebo Group, GEC has a manufacturing facility in Benicia, Calif., and 8,400 employees worldwide.
