NBFAA honors best of 2003

LAS VEGAS - The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association honored NBFAA Vice President George Gunning with the 2003 Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year Award in recognition of his lifetime of service to the security industry. Gunning, chief executive officer of USA Alarm Systems in California, was presented the award for dedication during his more than 23 years as a member of the security industry. He has been an active member of local, state and national trade associations throughout the years, also holding a number of leadership positions. Gunning has also enhanced the industry’s professional status by supporting state legislation and ongoing training for industry professionals. The NBFAA also honored Elections Committee Chairman Dan Budinoff for his contributions to the association and the industry with the 2004 Sara E. Jackson Award, which is presented annually to an NBFAA committee chair that has displayed outstanding leadership. Budinoff is the president of Security Specialists in Connecticut. The 25-year industry veteran has served terms as a NBFAA vice president and president of the Connecticut Burglar & Fire Alarm. Budinoff has also been a member of the NBFAA Education Committee and has headed the NBFAA Elections Committee since 2001.
