MCLEAN, Va.--United States Customs and Border Protection, an agency of the Department of Homeland Security, has awarded Northrop Grumman a contract to provide border security for land ports of entry along the Southwest border with Mexico. As part of the contract, NG's Information Technology sector will design and install a surveillance solution to secure more than 40 official border crossings along the 1,900-mile border from San Diego to Brownsville, Texas. NG will also design and implement four regional command centers to monitor security systems for each port of entry.
