Alarm rescues elderly resident
MANCHESTER, N.J. - An emergency alarm at the home of an elderly woman here helped rescue her after she fell in her home while alone.
The alarm, monitored by Vision Monitoring, a division of GC Worldwide Security, based in Garden City, N.Y., alerted Vision’s dispatchers, who connected with the resident via two-way voice.
Upon contact with the woman, who had fallen and injured her knee, one central station operator dispatched an ambulance and contacted the woman’s daughter while another remained on the line with the woman until emergency personnel arrived.
