The Seibold name gets added to security firm’s shingle

ROCHESTER, N.Y.â€â€For 25 years, the Seibold family has run a systems integration company with little indication of its family ties in its moniker. Now, the Seibold’s have added their name in a rebranding that reaches beyond its title.
With the addition of Seibold Security as its name comes a plan for significant growth for the business formerly known as Security Products.
Today the company founded and run by John Seibold Sr., operates a branch here, in Los Angeles, New York and Blacksburg, Va., and employs 40 people. In the coming year that could change considerably if the company adds a new office in Washington and in other markets.
“The company realized 35 percent growth in 2003,†said John Seibold Jr., vice president of Seibold Security. Some of that growth came from new market penetration, such as doing work in vertical markets like the financial services and commercial sector markets.
With a new name in tow, company officials expect it will help build national name recognition.
“Security Products we felt was a little generic and we need to differentiate ourselves a little bit,†said Tim Seibold, corporate secretary for Seibold Security.
