SSN seeks nominees for '20 under 40' Class of 2014

YARMOUTH, Maine—Who will lead the security industry tomorrow? We can have a pretty good idea based on the performance of certain young standouts in the industry today.

Security Systems News is seeking nominees for its “20 under 40” Class of 2014—talented young professionals on a path to become the next generation of security industry leaders. If you know of a colleague who fits the bill, you can recognize them by clicking on this nomination form [ https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ssn20under40 ] or by going to SSN's website, securitysystemsnews.com. You may also nominate yourself.

The requirements to be included on the eighth annual list are simple: Nominees must be employed by an integration firm, residential installation company, fire systems installation company or central monitoring center, and they must be age 40 or younger. Employees of manufacturing or consultant firms are not eligible for this award.

We're looking for candidates that have excellent leadership qualities and business acumen and that are tech-savvy and committed to the security industry. And it's not the title that counts—it's the hard work and dedication behind it.

The editors of SSN will review the candidates and select 20 who we believe demonstrate the qualities of a future leader. All nominations for the Class of 2014 must be received by Aug. 1.

Many of the 140 professionals recognized in the past seven years have gone on to become well known in the field. The list has included CEOs, company presidents, central station managers, system engineers, sales representatives and account directors.

The Class of 2014 will be featured in the October print issue of SSN and also on our website. Members also will be honored at the 2015 TechSec Solutions conference. TechSec, the premier technology conference put on by SSN and its sister publication, Security Director News, will be held Feb. 3-4 in Delray Beach, Fla.

Security Director News also has a “20 under 40” list for young security professionals who work for an end user. Nominations are open for those awards as well. To nominate a security practitioner for the SDN “20 under 40” Class of 2014, click here. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/sdn20under40
