Tyco forms retail solutions group

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Tyco Fire & Security has formed a global Retail Solutions Group to provide end-to-end solutions for internal and external theft and retail supply chains.
Industry veteran John Smith has been named to head the group. He was most recently president of ADT Europe. He has also served as an executive in several retail security companies, including Sensormatic, Chubb and Automated Security Holdings.
The Retail Solutions Group will provide comprehensive solutions on issues such as electronic article surveillance, CCTV, digital video recording, access control, data management, radio frequency identification, intrusion alarm, fire and monitoring.
“Retailing is a significant global business segment for Tyco Fire & Security. We understand that retailing is a business with unique challenges,†said Smith.
