View Systems expands to California

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.-View Systems has opened a new sales and service office in Southern California and hired four new executives to help the company keep up with its recent growth in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The new office, located in the San Diego area, will serve as the company's western regional office and was prompted by several new installations, company officials said. Sales of the company's digital security and surveillance systems increased nearly 10-fold in the company's third quarter, which ended Sept. 30, spurring company revenues to increase 369 percent, to $312,353. "Things couldn't be better for View Systems," said Gunther Than, chief executive officer. "Since Sept. 11 both orders and inquiries have increased dramatically and we are currently assessing our product capabilities to ensure we can supply the anticipated demand." The company recently announced upgrades to FaceView, its facial recognition product, and PlateView, its license plate recognition product. Its product line now incorporates a range of detection systems designed to identify and catch criminals before they act, company officials said.
