MELVILLE, N.Y.—Honeywell is making changes. Yesterday, the company made an internal announcement that it’s combining its security and fire businesses into one new business, Honeywell Security and Fire (HSF).

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill.—Private equity firm Generation3 Capital has entered the PERS arena by acquiring LogicMark, a designer and manufacturer of medical alarm systems, with former Honeywell Security Group executives Ben Cornett and Kevin O’Connor named to lead the company.

Honeywell adds Michael Ooten to its professional sales team

MELVILLE, N.Y.—Michael Ooten has been appointed as regional sales manager for Honeywell Systems, a division of Honeywell Security Group. In this role, Ooten will focus on growing sales of Honeywell's video surveillance systems for Texas and Oklahoma. Ooten has more than 10 years of industry experience including a stint at Dowley Systems in Oklahoma. Most recently he served as gaming sales manager for NICE Systems. He will be based in Edmond, Oklahoma.

CHICAGO—Motorola Mobility and Honeywell Security Group are working together to develop an end-to-end connected home security solution.
Motorola Mobility—which makes mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, wireless accessories, end-to-end video and data delivery, and management solutions, including set-tops and data-access devices—announced the collaboration at a cable show June 15.
