Barry Chisholm, regional sales manager for American Alarm and Communications, oversees sales in three of the company’s offices, including its headquarters in Arlington, Mass. Chisholm started in sales at American Alarm in December 2011, rising to his current position in 2013. He began his career at ADT in 1994. Security Systems News caught up with Chisholm in early January to talk about his home security system.
As Vivint’s VP of consumer experience, Matthew Mahar said he is “obsessed with making sure that any consumer of smart home products gets the best experience that they can, in terms of usability, readability, enjoyment using the system, and … solving real problems.” He’s involved with both software and hardware design. Robert Forsythe is the president of US Monitoring, a wholesale monitoring company based in Oklahoma City. He is also the president of C & C Products a rep firm for security products, also based in Oklahoma City. He started in the industry in 1989 as a service manager with Rollins Security.
David Bitton, COO at Supreme Security Systems, started working with the company in 1995. He is third generation in the family-owned business, which was founded in 1929 and is based in Union, N.J. Security Systems News talked with Bitton in early October about the system he has at home.
Jeffrey Kahn, COO for Wayne Alarm Systems, based in Lynn, Mass., started with the company in 2011. Trey Alter, CEO of Dynamark, has been with the company since he was in high school. He is a Security Systems News “20 under 40,” Class of 2014. “I spent my early years just trying to learn all of the different aspects of the security business, from installing to selling to inventory control. Eric Garner is the COO of family-operated Mountain Alarm, an installer based in Ogden, Utah. Devon Ritch is the director of IT for Doyle Security Systems, based in Rochester, N.Y. He started at the company six years ago as IT manager, his first position in the security space. Ritch said he is a “one-man show. Just about anything that’s IT, it’s me.” Among other duties, Ritch uses his home as testing grounds for various systems. In early June, Security Systems News caught up with him on the system he has in place now.
Barbara Holliday, senior director of dealer support for Monitronics, started at the company in 1998 as a key account manager, overseeing 100 accounts. She now handles acquisitions and dealer support. At ISC West 2015, Holliday was recognized as one of the Women's Security Council’s Women of the Year. Security Systems News talked with her about the security system she uses at home.
Matt Cooper is the new director of field operations for Protection 1. He sees this role incorporating elements from his previous role as a regional operations manager. The main difference being, he said, that his new role is on a national scale. Among other responsibilities, he is working to “create a bridge” between the regional branches and the national accounts. Cooper, an ex-Navy man, talked with Security Systems about the system he has at home.
