Travis Miller joined Alert 360—the new brand name for both Central Security Group and Guardian Security Systems—in October as the vice president of dealer development. “My role coming in is to really help them strengthen their dealer program and grow that channel, while also looking at acquisitions of companies, acquisition of accounts. The company is just aggressively looking to grow over the next three to five years,” Miller said. In late October, Security Systems News asked Miller five questions.

Eric Moe was recently promoted and is now Milestone System’s director of sales North America, in charge of both field sales and inside channel management for alignment under a common reporting line. He has been with Milestone since 2013, moving from director of sales operations responsible for inside sales, partner service and sales support, partner & business development.

Five Questions: Wendi Grinnell

Wendi Grinnell was recently promoted to the newly created position of vice president for VIZpin, a designer and manufacturer of a smartphone-based, Bluetooth-enabled access entry system. She joined VIZpin in January 2017 as marketing director, and has more than 20 years of marketing and sales leadership experience. Security Systems News asked Grinnell five questions.

Kurtis Erdman, recently hired at third party monitoring center NMC as its South Eastern regional sales manager, is based out of Pensacola, Fla. “I’m really tasked with promoting the NMC brand throughout the Southeast,” Erdman said. He called Southeast a “relatively untapped area” for NMC—“The Southeast is really a ripe territory for us. There’s lots of business there. There’s lots of great independent alarm installers.” In early June, Security Systems News asked Erdman five questions.

Jeff Dietz joined AvantGuard in early February as the operations manager, running the company’s Rexburg, Idaho, site. He has about 15 years of experience in call centers; this is his first role in the security industry. “What I’m really trying to create here in Rexburg is a culture of fun around some high performance goals,” he said. Greg Peninger was recently hired as Dynamark Security Centers’ director of sales for the southern region of the United States, which covers from Texas to Florida. Peninger’s role will cover account management as well as growing within the territory. He is based outside of Austin, Texas. Peninger has been in the industry for more than 20 years and has owned his own security and home automation company. In late January, Security Systems News asked him five questions.
