IRVINE, Calif.--Whereas some central stations lure new dealers with free monitoring, Criticom International announced at the ISC East conference in New York this week a program that offers interest-free loans based on the amount of accounts transferred to the company.

CHELMSFORD, Mass.--Network video and print server manufacturer Axis announced in August that its partnership with systems integrator Convergint Technologies has led to installation projects in education, healthcare and telecommunications facilities.
Convergint installed Axis network cameras with power-over-Ethernet capabilities for the Pasadena Independent School District in Pasadena, Texas, and for the Swedish Hospital in Seattle.

SILVER SPRING, Md.--Through a sub-contract partnership with Chugach McKinley, USProtect announced in August that it began providing security guard services at the Ventura County U.S. Naval Base in California.
Chugach McKinley, headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, is a native-owned corporation of roughly 6,200 employees that provides a variety of services--including construction, education and transportation--to government clients.

DynaPel salsas into Latin American market

Fort Myers, Fla.--DynaPel Systems, a provider of intelligent video surveillance software and hardware applications, secure a contract with LNR Security, a sales representative firm that markets to Latin American countries.
DynaPel teamed up with LNR Security in early August because of its experience with integrators in the Latin American sector, said Dieter Kondek, DynaPel's chief executive officer.

HAMILTON, Bermuda--Ingersoll-Rand's recent acquisition of Dolphin Electromagnetic Technologies--an India-based security company-- will enable I-R to better serve U.S. customers that have offices in India.

Honeywell combines businesses to leverage brand name

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Honeywell announced plans to combine and rename their video and access businesses as well as rebrand its NexWatch dealer program in August in an effort to fully leverage the company's brand recognition.
The combined businesses will be known as the Honeywell Systems Group and will be headed by John Lorenty, who was recently named president of the division. That business will be relocated to Louisville, Ky., and approximately 30 employees will move to the new location.

Optelecom sales climb

GERMANTOWN, Md.--Optelecom-NKF, an IP video provider, announced in August that revenue in the second quarter, which ended June 30, soared.
The company reported $9 million in sales compared to $4.2 million for the same time last year, representing a 111 percent increase. It's operating income increased 128 percent to $1 million from $448,752 in second quarter 2004. Net income for the quarter also jumped 61 percent, to $487,839 from $303,431.
