May 31, 2007Martha Entwistle
BOCA RATON, Fla.--Devcon president Robert Farenhem described news discussed during the company's May 29 investor call as "anecdotal" evidence of the company's progress toward becoming a pure-play security company.
Two items discussed were progress in the disposal of Devcon's construction business, the sale of which was begun in March and is expected to be completed by the end of 2007, and the company's continued focus on security, as evidenced by Devcon's internal integration of six different operating...

Iveda has customers in Arizona and California and is positioning itself for national expansion.
The company will continue to provide the same products and services...

May 24, 2007Martha Entwistle
WASHINGTON, D.C.--While the Federal Communications Commission has yet to issue a decision on the request for a two-year extension of the February 2008 AMPS sunset, it now appears that the best the alarm industry can hope for is a shorter extension.
John Prendergast, attorney for the Alarm Industry Communications Committee, was preparing on May 23 to make an "ex parte filing" to the FCC that would basically "shrink the time and scope of the original extension request," he said.
Prendergast's filing...
