BROOMALL, Pa.-AcSys Biometrics Corp. and access control manufacturer Siedle North America recently partnered to incorporate AcSys' Face Recognition System with hardware from Siedle.
Integrators and installers are expected to be able to purchase the product line created as a result of the alliance beginning in April. The line uses Holographic/ Quantum Neural Technology and is referred to as HNeT.
"We were looking for the best solution out there," said Al-exander Matos, executive vice president at Siedle. Matos said the company was approached by several other biometric software makers, but the "solution that they had were not what we considered security."
Instead, the company aligned with AcSys, said Matos.
"AcSys will provide not only Siedle, but the entire security industry, a solution which is in demand with very few competitors. Siedle will be a pioneer in marketing this security solution for residential, commercial and industrial needs," he said. "Because of our modular nature, AcSys FRS (Face Recognition System) can be incorporated into already existing systems."
AcSys also expects to prosper from the alliance, which marries Siedle's hardware with AcSys' face recognition systems, according to Jerry Janik, president and chief executive officer of AcSys Biometrics Corp.
