As President and CEO of IPtelX, Jordan Dice is responsible for leading the company's research and development efforts, directing the engineering of a state-of-the-art network, and presiding over day-to-day business operations and finance decisions.
“I've been in this role since the founding of IPtelX almost seven years ago and have led several other ventures in a similar capacity for the past 15 years,” said Dice, who noted that he got into security because of his father.
“My father founded a leading automation software supplier for the alarm industry over 30 years ago, which has evolved with the growth of the cloud,” he explained. “This advancement has provided a unique opportunity to specialize in cloud technologies for the industry while designing a carrier-grade telecom and IP network at the core of the technology. It has been an exciting and challenging endeavor.”
For technology trends, Dice believes “real time communication between the security provider and subscriber is only going to increase. We have seen a much higher load of messaging traffic on our telecom network to handle alarm events. We've also started to leverage our national IP network to meet customer desires to compete more in the smart home environment.”
He continued, “Video monitoring powered by the cloud and cutting-edge analytics to monitor takes it to a whole new level. We have been at the forefront of building a national IP network and cloud infrastructure to enable our customers to deploy cloud-based video monitored technologies with an end-to-end network they can trust. I believe this evolution in security will not only provide more effective monitoring both in quality and cost, but an endless source of business insight powered by the analytics.”
