YARMOUTH, Maine—Simon Schwab, 29, is the director of business development at Care Security Systems, a woman-owned business that provides high-level integrated security systems to a wide range of organizations throughout the nation, as well as international locations, based out of Montebello, N.Y. SSN: Describe your roles, duties, and tenure at your current job.
SCHWAB: I oversee our entire national sales organization and am responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities, developing and implementing strategic plans, building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders, and managing a team to achieve business goals.
SSN: What inspired you to pursue a career in the security industry?
SCHWAB: It’s a family business, and after graduating with an MBA, I entered into the business.

SCHWAB: It’s a great honor to be a part of the best of the best!
SSN: As a young leader, what appeals to you about the security industry?
SCHWAB: We really do make a difference by enabling our teams to be innovative and be cutting-edge with everything we do.
SSN: With the hiring, recruitment and retention challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, how can the security industry engage young talent?
