ELLINGTON, Conn.--Marking its entrance into the Latin American and Caribbean markets, Accu-Time Systems opened a sales office in Boston in February that will serve as a launching pad to those regions.
Based here, Accu-Time manufactures hardware for time and attendance, and security access applications. The company previously operated four locations in the United States and one in the United Kingdom.
"Through having a successful business based in the U.S., we are looking expand to markets including Latin America and the Caribbean," explained Michael Glynn marketing manager at Accu-Time Systems, on the company's business expansion strategy.
Monica Baptiste will oversee the office in the role of strategic alliance manager for Latin America and the Caribbean. In the past, she has worked in a similar role for Simplex Time Recorder.
Baptiste reports to company Peter DiMaria, chief executive officer at the company.
