ATLANTA—Three call center employees at Ackerman Security Systems, based here, organized a “Go Red For Women” day at the corporate headquarters, according to a company statement.
The event was designed to raise awareness and funds for the American Heart Association.
“Donations go to support research, education and community programs to help women live longer, heart-healthy lives,” said Stephanie Johnson, one of the call center employees who organized the event.
Ackerman plans to make the event an annual one to help raise awareness about the issue of heart disease in women.
