LAS VEGAS—Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), a commercial and residential home automation and security solutions provider based here, is experiencing phenomenal growth, more than doubling in size and posting impressive revenue numbers in the past year.
“We have doubled our work force from the beginning of 2020 until now, from 30 employees to more than 60,” ADS Founder and CEO Christopher Sterle told Security Systems News.” In 2020, we increased our revenue by 27 percent.”
He explained that ADS has hired nearly 20 new employees since the beginning of 2021, mainly to help meet the consistent increased demand for smart home technology brought on by a hot housing market in Las Vegas and a growing population.
When asked what areas of smart home technology are most in-demand, Sterle said, “Without a doubt, strong wireless networks continue to be the hottest trend that we see. Just past that is added home security features such as cameras and security systems.”
In order to best serve its existing and new clientele, ADS hired employees for their production, install, systems design, warehouse and sales and marketing teams. Approximately 40 percent of the new employees are joining the production team, as client requests for pre-wiring and installing the necessary infrastructure during the construction process of new homes continue to rise. ADS is the exclusive home automation and security partner for Toll Brothers, which recently purchased StoryBook Homes, and has partnerships with Taylor Morrison, Templeton Development, and TriPoint Homes. Due to its expanding relationships with homebuilders in the Las Vegas community, ADS fully expects the growth of smart home technology in new construction to continuously increase.
“With the housing boom in Las Vegas and the growth of new home construction, we are thrilled to have been able to expand our team and create additional jobs in the community we serve,” said Sterle.
The company also created a new position, Warehouse Manager, and hired Michael Hazel to handle the influx of projects and keep the warehouse staged, organized and running efficiently. For the first time, ADS now has a dedicated Social Media Coordinator, Tessie Apique, who will showcase the story of ADS along with the company’s projects, services and industry education regarding smart home technology. Two members of the production team, Donnie Burke and Conrad Garcia, were also promoted to Production Team Assistant Manager.
ADS also restructured and expanded its executive and management teams and established a new division specifically dedicated to systems design for custom homes. The company now has seven divisions: Custom Home, Installation, Service, Alarm, Production, Commercial and Fire Monitoring.
Looking at the key areas of focus for the rest of the year and 2022, Sterle said, “We are hyperfocused on refining our processes and watching profitability on every project. We are also very committed to continuing education for our entire team to ensure personal growth for all of our staff.”
