BOCA RATON, Fla.—Michael Geltzeiler will join ADT as the company's new chief financial officer, ADT announced this week.
Currently CFO and group executive vice president of NYSE Euronext, Geltzeiler will report to ADT CEO Naren Gursahaney and direct ADT's financial strategy to help the company grow profitably while creating shareholder value, according to an Oct. 14 news release.
“Michael has a proven track record serving as CFO at public companies with subscriber-based revenue models,” Gursahaney said, in a prepared statement. “His extensive capital markets experience, operational skills and financial acumen will help us to deliver value for our shareholders.”
Geltzeiler has been with NYSE Euronext for five years, prior to which he was Reader's Digest Association president for school and education services, serving as CFO and senior vice president there from 2001 to 2007.
“There is significant potential to grow ADT's residential and small business security and automation segments,” said Geltzeiler, in a prepared statement. “The company has a strong balance sheet, a broad portfolio of innovative solutions and a talented management team that is passionate about its more than 6.5 million customers.”
According to the news release, Geltzeiler is expected to join ADT shortly after NYSE Euronext's acquisition by IntercontinentalExchange, expected to close Nov. 4.
