ADT publishes 2022 Environmental, Social and Governance Report

BOCA RATON, Fla.—ADT has published its 2022 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing the company’s journey to continuously respect the environment, promote social responsibility and lead with responsible governance.

“When I joined ADT eight months ago, we had just published our first-ever ESG report, which illuminated our priorities and pillars in this space,” said Steve Avadek, ADT senior director, ESG and sustainability. “Since then, we’ve continued to build out our ESG program and have taken new actions, which we share in our 2022 report.”

Specifically, the 2022 ESG report details ADT’s progress in the following key areas: 

1) ESG management 

2) Inclusive diversity and belonging 

3) ADT safety 

4) Community impact 

5) Environmental management 

In addition to updates on ADT’s efforts in those categories, the ESG report highlights ADT employees’ efforts throughout the year to create safer, smarter, and more sustainable communities, with initiatives such as:

1) A Seattle-area branch that is leading the company’s electronic-waste recycling efforts by collecting and sorting e-waste and sending it to appropriate recycling facilities.

2) The Environmental Health and Safety team launched a new, robust safety program for ADT Solar that has resulted in a 33 percent reduction in safety incidents. 

3) ADT teams volunteered in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for families in need in five different states.

The 2022 ESG report outlines additional ESG progress ADT made in the past year. “We’re a mission-driven company and believe our ESG work reflects our commitment to our central purpose - empowering our customers to connect and protect what matters most,” Avadek said.
