FAIRPORT, N.Y.—Bosch Security Systems, a developer of security and life safety solutions based here, trained nearly 8,500 customers in North America in 2012 through its Security and Communications Training Academy, according to a company statement. That represents a 30 percent increase from the previous year.
“Adoption of IP-based systems is growing rapidly, creating increased demand for training,” said Jim Musshafen, director of sales operations, Bosch Security Systems, in the statement.
Bosch has seven training facilities in the United States and offers 24 online training courses, many of which help customers meet licensing requirements. The courses can be taken in modules at the participant's convenience, and the topics range from general network basics to product certification.
