Catherine Pilarz named 2011 ASTM International chairman of the board

W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.—Catherine (Kitty) Pilarz, senior director of Mattel/Fisher-Price product safety in East Aurora, N.Y., is 2011 chairman of the board of directors of ASTM International, one of the world's largest and most diverse standards developing organizations, it was announced Jan. 11. Chairman of the board is the highest elected position in ASTM International.
ASTM International is one of the largest international standards development and delivery systems in the world. ASTM International meets the World Trade Organization (WTO) principles for the development of international standards: coherence, consensus, development dimension, effectiveness, impartiality, openness, relevance and transparency.
