VIENNA, Va.–VidSys, a major PSIM provider based here, announced today it has closed a recent round of funding that includes Cisco.
A company spokesperson would not disclose the size of Cisco's equity investment, but said the funding would be used to accelerate the PSIM maker's growth. "The PSIM market is really taking off," Kelly Fiedler, VP of marketing at VidSys, told Security Director News sister publication of Security Systems News. "We're seeing growth in a lot of areas and the funding will support that."
VidSys is already a Cisco Technology Development Partner, but this is Cisco's first financial investment in the company, Fiedler said.
Current VidSys investors Atlanta Equity, Flybridge Capital Partners, JVAX Investment Group, and Motorola Solutions also participated in the recent round of funding, according to a press release.
