CENTEREACH, N.Y.—CRN Wireless, a wireless communication company for the security alarm industry, has launched two 4G cellular communicators by its AlarmPath division, according to a company statement.
The two communications products—the AP-D432 full data and the AP-S432 summary data communication devices—feature 4G cellular technology that also supports 3G and 2G communications across multiple carriers. CRN has incorporated its OptimalConnect feature in all its 4G devices, which automatically chooses the latest-generation cellular network available and transmits alarm signals at the fastest speed possible to the central station.
“Our customers can install our alarm communication devices with less concern over the upcoming sunset of the 2G networks,” said Nick Puro, CRN's CEO, in the statement.
Dealers use CRN devices for wireless communication on new installations or to modernize existing alarm systems in their subscribers' premises, the statement said.
