CONCORD, Ont. - Digital Security Controls has named Steven Darr as president of the security products company, a move expected to help bring products to market faster and turn DSC into a more customer focused company.
The announcement comes more than year after DSC became part of Tyco International and its Tyco Fire and Security business unit. That transaction also included the sale of DSC’s distribution arm Tri-Ed.
At that time Marc Mineau served as president of DSC. Mineau now holds the title of vice president of business development for Tyco.
DSC’s new president joins the company with more than 20 years of experience in marketing, product and executive level management. Darr most recently was chief executive officer of The Primary Services Group, a McLean, Va.-based company. He previously worked with Honeywell, Allied Signal and Marconi Applied Technologies.
