IRVING, Texas—A few weeks ago, the Electronic Security Association (ESA) held their 2019 Leadership Summit in Austin, Texas, gathering electronic security and life safety professionals to start off the year by sharing best practices, networking and collaborative strategizing. Receiving a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 85, reveals well over half of the total number of attendees are willing to recommend the summit to others.
Feedback from a couple of attendees was published in a recent press release: “Leadership Summit is the best industry peer-to-peer networking event,” said one attendee. “The event is packed with information to help you take your business to the next level,” another survey respondent said. And, yet another: “The amount of specific education that is available in a short timeframe is a tremendous opportunity.”
To be strategically efficient by maximizing the amount of onsite contact, prior to the summit, attendees arranged meetings based on their interests and expertise using an online platform. Meetings provided business solutions, operation strategies and more. Social events and outings provided additional opportunities to connect and engage while enjoying live music and local food. More than 90 percent of survey respondents indicated they made valuable contacts with peers at these events, according to the press release.
An educational program was offered and 100 percent of respondents indicated the information and advice received around topics such as hiring techniques, online marketing trends, engaging employees and more, will help grow their businesses. “The amount of specific education that is available in a short timeframe is a tremendous opportunity,” was a sample of the feedback received regarding the education.
One of the highly rated sessions, “What Keeps You Up at Night,” consisted of a panel discussion with industry experts in marketing, integration, sales training and consumer research, and all feature presentations and education sessions received an average rating of 4.5 out of 5. Ninety-two percent of survey respondents indicated they got a sense of the major electronic security industry trends via the event's programming.
