DALLAS—Recognizing the security industry’s need for current and comprehensive compensation data, the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) and four other organizations have partnered to present the 2023 Security Industry Compensation Study.
In addition to FAST, this research initiative is produced by the Security Industry Association (SIA), Electronic Security Association (ESA), PSA Security Network (PSA) and Security Sales & Integration (SSI) and is considered the security industry’s largest widely partnered study on salary and compensation.
FAST encourages security industry companies to participate in this study, which will provide the security industry with the compensation data it needs to effectively recruit and hire talent. All companies who participate in the survey will receive the executive summary prior to the release of the full report, along with the full report once it is released. Participants in the study will get valuable data, with standardized job titles and descriptions, to help them make informed hiring decisions.
“Hiring is one of the issues affecting companies across the board in this industry that really impacts their growth,” said FAST Executive Director Aiden O’Brien. “The 2023 Security Industry Compensation Study, produced in partnership with ESA, PSA, SIA, and SSI, will produce a final report that serves as a great tool for companies to compare themselves to and provide strong hiring, salary and compensation data to help you make informed decisions about the roles you may have. This study relies on participation from the industry, and we really hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity!”
This study focuses on wage, salary, and compensation packages for particularly in-demand and hard-to-recruit roles like technicians and technical staff, operations, and sales roles. The research involves a survey of professionals across the security industry – including executives and HR and operations leaders. The study is designed for companies including security integrators, residential and commercial security installing firms, security product manufacturers and software providers.
Participation is confidential and free for qualifying companies. FAST is using outside firm Vault Consulting to ensure organization data is confidential and that the computation and analysis is conducted with the utmost rigor.
