Security Systems News caught up with Brad to ask him five questions.
What is special about where you live, Des Moines?
It's the heartland of America. It's a big enough city that you can do whatever you want, but still a small enough community where people are very friendly. I moved here four years ago. I'm from Davenport, Iowa. I've also lived in Chicago and attended school in Indiana.
Do you have children?
Yes. My wife, Alison, and I have two children. Michael is 4 and Colleen is 2. Alison and I have been married for six years.
How did you and your wife meet?
We both attended the University of Notre Dame. We were married in Chicago.
What do you do in your spare time?
It's usually family time. Michael loves watching sports, so we watch football and basketball together. I'm a Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan and a Green Bay Packers fan. Colleen is a girly girl, and she likes watching princess movies. We go to the park. I work a lot, but when I get alone time I like to read, play tennis. We do like to travel, to take the kids to Chicago and Davenport to see their cousins. They have about 25, ranging from newborn to age 14.
What kind of books do you enjoy reading and what would you recommend?
Non-fiction. I like business books, psychological books. I would recommend “Beyond Selling Value” by Mark Shonka.
